NOW() This function returns the start time of the current transaction; the value does not change during the transaction. The intent is to allow a single transaction to have a consistent notion of the "current" time, so that multiple modifications within the same transaction bear the same timestamp....

Good discussion. What is the benefit of having WOS? Why do not we load it directly into ROS? I understand that WOS is for trickle feed and ROS is for bulk load. Why can not Vertica have just ROS? Vertica has limit on number of storage containers per projection. You can only have 1024 ROS containers...
