Hi all,
One way we speed up our MySQL tables loads is to disable AUTOCOMMIT. Is this something recommended that we do in Vertica prior to loading data with the COPY command?
Thanks!!!

Re: What is the Initiator Node?
Thanks jpcavanaugh !
So basically its what ever node I connect to and then do something, i.e. run a query. Cool. For some reason I was thinking there was a "main" node of sorts.

What is the Initiator Node?
Hi guys,
How do I determine which node in a cluster that is considered to be the "initiator node"? And what exactly is the "initiator node" for that matter?
Thank you

Re: Generate Random Ints with RANDOMINT
Hmm.
Why did Vertica choose that the value we send into the RANDOMINT function parameter not be included as one of the available return values? I would hope that RANDINT(10) could return a random int between 0 and 10 and not 0 and < 10.

Re: Random Number (Bewteen Negative and Positive)
Hah! That's so simple and perfect! Thanks! I should have thought of that.
