Hi All
The very concept of K-safety is to maintain continuous data availability. So, we know k-safety spans across all the nodes defined in the cluster. Now, does k-safety extend beyond a particular cluster?
If No, what if the cluster fails, how data is recovered? Is it an Data replication mechanism for Disaster Management or can the K-safety expand to other clusters and take care of it?
Thanks in advance

Hello,
Welcome to Vertica Forums
This topic can help you understand the K-saety mechanism.

Basically you apply K-safety on database level.

It is a data replication process used by the cluster when any node goes down. So that the Cluster keeps running. Is it an Data replication mechanism for Disaster Management or can the K-safety expand to other clusters and take care of it?
