Infamatica Connection to Vertica

Hi All,
I have question for create vertica connection in Informatica Server (HP-UX).
Does it need a username/password/server information written in some ODBC configuration document in server side, such as ODBC.ini or others ?

I just want to make sure whether this conncetion creation in Informatica HP-UX server side need plaintext password or not ?
